Mesozoic plants may have nourished more dinosaurs than previously thought
Plants that grew during the Mesozoic era may have been more nutritious than previously thought, and therefore may have sustained more massive herbivores than previously thought, a study published in Palaeontology suggests. Researchers grew plants in an environment with extremely high levels of carbon dioxide to mimic the conditions during the Mesozoic era and found they provided similar nutrition to modern plants.
