Neanderthal child’s bones digested by large bird found in Poland

The 115,000-year-old finger bones of a Neanderthal child have been discovered in Poland, according to findings scheduled to be published in the Journal of Paleolithic Archaeology. Scientists say the bones had moved through a large prehistoric bird’s digestive system, but they can’t tell if the bird actually ate the child or scavenged its remains.
