Rubble-Strewn Surface of Asteroid Ryugu

The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency has released the highest-resolution photo yet of the surface of Ryugu, the asteroid it is studying with the Hayabusa2 spacecraft. The photo, captured by Hayabusa2 just before it deployed two hopping rovers on the asteroid’s surface, shows rocks and rubble.
