Siberian unicorn existed much longer than previously believed
A rhinoceros known as the Siberian unicorn lived in the Eurasian grasslands far longer than once thought, still roaming the Earth at least 39,000 years ago, according to a new study. Researchers radiocarbon-dated the remains of 23 Elasmotherium sibiricum specimens, which were previously believed to have died out between 200,000 and 100,000 years ago.
