Many vulnerable species’ habitats affected by human activity
One-fourth of the world’s threatened vertebrate species are affected by human activity in most of their habitat and could die out as a result, according to findings published in PLOS Biology. Researchers studied the habitats of more than 5,000 vulnerable birds, mammals and amphibians, measuring the effect human activity had on each one.
