ESA Scientists Back Up Curiosity’s Detection Of Methane On Mars

European Space Agency scientists say they have confirmed a methane spike in the vicinity of Gale Crater that was detected by the Mars rover Curiosity, according to findings published in Nature Geoscience. The spike’s origins could be geological or biological, suggesting the presence of microbial life.
