Researchers track effect of opioids in wastewater on fish
Researchers such as Randall Peterson and Gabriel Bosse of the University of Utah are studying the presence of opioids in wastewater and how wildlife are affected. For example, Peterson and Bosse found that zebrafish exposed to opioids experienced withdrawal symptoms when they no longer had access and engaged in dosing behaviors.
