Listen to the Solar Wind With New Data From NASA’s Parker Solar Probe

NASA scientists have created a sound clip of wind coming off the sun’s surface by turning various wave measurements taken by the Parker Solar Probe and weaving them into what those waves might sound like to humans. “Parker Solar Probe, by going to the source of the solar wind, is basically revealing to us a new picture of the young solar wind,” said project scientist Nour Raouafi. Open article (click on title above to open and then click on the “not right now” box to watch a short video and listen to the solar wind.  The Parker Probe’s mission is to “touch the sun”, a star.  That’s pretty Kool!
