“Super blood wolf moon” observed by many around the world
As a result of a total lunar eclipse, a so-called super blood wolf moon, which makes the astronomical body appear red, was visible to a large number of people around the world. “A little bit of sunlight is refracted by the Earth’s atmosphere and reaches the moon, bending around the edges of the Earth. This small amount of red light still illuminates the Moon enough for us to see it,” explained Syracuse University assistant teaching professor Walter Freeman.
