Huge iceberg detaches from Antarctica

A massive iceberg roughly the size of Sydney, Australia, has broken away from the Amery ice shelf in Antarctica, Australian Antarctic Division officials say. Researchers say the calving event is probably not associated with climate change, since it fits within the Amery ice shelf’s typical 60- to 70-year calving pattern.
